Salisbury Central will have early dismissal days on Friday, February 17 and Tuesday, February 21. There will be NO school on Monday, February 20th. Enjoy your long weekend.

Kindergarten Registration

Salisbury Central School Kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 year is scheduled for Friday, March 30, and Monday, April 2, 2012. All children born during the calendar year of 2007 should be registered. Please call the school office at 435-9871 to schedule an appointment.

Please bring your child’s birth certificate to confirm the date of birth and a current record of childhood immunizations.

Connecticut Mastery Tests

will be given beginning on Monday, March 5th and will continue through Friday, March 16th. Make-up testing will be given during the week of March 19th. Please help your child(ren) to be successful by making sure they get plenty of rest and they have a good breakfast before coming to school.

Just a reminder that transportation notes can be found on our web site and printed off for your convenience. To find these notes go to the SCS home page, Click on For Parents, Bus & Transportation Information and then click on Transportation Notes. If you have any trouble please contact Mrs. Stevens in the Elementary Office.

Recycling Printer Cartridges

At SCS, we recycle our printer cartridges at Staples. In return, we earn $2 in Staples Rewards for each cartridge. It really adds up to supplement our technology budget. We use the rewards "dollars" to purchase supplies like DVDs and CDs for teachers and to purchase unexpected items that come up through the year.

Our families can help SCS by bringing in any used printer cartridges they have at home or at their business. We can recycle them and receive additional rewards to support the use of technology here at the school.

Anyone who wishes to send or bring cartridges can leave them at the office with my name on them or just send them in with their child. The grade level teachers will pass them on to me.
