Hamsters have round eyes and have sharp front teeth to bite their food. They have long whiskers to feel things and a tiny nose to sniff their food.

Hamster babies have no hair. Wild hamsters live in the desert. 5-9 cubs can be in a hamster’s litter. An adult hamster can be 4 inches long. If your hamster has a wet tail it could be sick and it could get a cold or the flu from people.

Hamsters need food and fresh water. Do not feed them too much or they will get sick. Hamsters also need clean bedding. You should play with your hamster to keep it strong and healthy because hamsters need exercise.
