Dogs have very long or short hair. A dog sometimes has very big eyes. All dogs have different colored fur. The dog’s tail helps balance the dog so he does not fall over. A dog can hear very well. Dogs are all different sizes.

Big dogs can have up to 12 puppies in a litter. Small dogs have up to 6 puppies in a litter. Dogs wag their tails when they are happy. Dogs go to the vet so they don’t get sick. Dogs can live up to 18 years old.

A dog needs a mattress or blanket, and toys. You need a food bowl and a water bowl for your dog.  Dogs like treats. You need a leash and collar to walk a dog.
