The Town Grove

Ever feel hot on a summer day? Well, come on down to the Town Grove. The Town Grove is a lake and picnic area in Lakeville, Connecticut. The Grove is not only for swimming. In the summer time people can also fish and go boating. If you want to go fishing you don't have to bring a net because there are nets at the Town Grove! There are programs at the Town Grove like swim team and swimming lessons, kayak lessons and sailing lessons. There are other events like Project Troubador. Project Troubador is a music festival that is held at the Grove in June. The Salisbury Band plays at the Grove on the 4th of July. Another event is the Fishing Derby. The Fishing Derby is a fishing contest at the Grove.

The lake, which many people know as Lakeville Lake, is actually named Lake Wononskopomuc, and it is the deepest lake in Connecticut.

 


There are programs at the Town Grove, like swim team and swimming lessons.
