Sharon Hospital Emergency Room

The emergency room
at Sharon Hospital is open 24 hours a day every day of the year! It
is there to help people in an emergency.
People come to the emergency room for many reasons. They may have very
deep cuts, they might have had an accident or they may be feeling very
sick. They also come for broken bones and severe pain.
In addition to patients, there are many people in the emergency room.
There are doctors, nurses, and hospital technicians. There are also
receptionists to help you figure out what you need when you first come
in to the emergency room.
All of the equipment in the emergency room can help the doctors and
nurses do their jobs. The x-ray machines look at a person's bones. Splints
will keep a person's arms or ankles in place. The sink is very important
because it allows the emergency room workers to keep themselves and
their tools clean and free of germs.

I now know that the emergency room is important because people can have
their lives saved there. Nobody should hesitate to go there if they
cannot get in touch with their doctor and need help, or if they have
a medical emergency.
