The
Peace Vigil
by

Have you ever noticed
that on Saturday mornings, on the green in front of the White Hart Inn,
that the Peace Vigil is always there? The Peace Vigil has been around
since 1970, and they gather whether it is snowy, rainy, sunny or cloudy.
The Peace Vigil has people of all ages from babies to the very elderly.
The Peace Vigil helps create peace on earth. The more people that stand
for peace, the more peace there will be. Some people talk, some hold signs;
others just stand silently, but all love peace.
You do not need to sign up to join the Peace Vigil. Sometimes there are
only two people, and at other times 30, but all are welcome.
There are peace vigils that take place all over the world. Salisbury's
meets every Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00 noon. The Peace Vigil is recommended
to anyone who supports peace. Just being at the Peace Vigil makes you
want to encourage peace in the world.
