Festival of Trees

by Connor

Noble Horizons has one of the best Christmas festivals in the area. The "Festival of Trees" is a great little festival with small Christmas trees that are decorated by schools, scout groups, families, and businesses from all over Salisbury. Seventy-five trees are usually on display and for sale. The wonderful trees have a combination of homemade decorations and store- bought decorations. There are many themes to the trees like gumballs, bears, snowmen, birds, shoes, berries and coins. Every year there is a Beanie Baby tree and there is a raffle for that tree.

Kathy McKnight, who works at Noble Horizons, started the great "Festival of Trees" back in 1996 and it has been going on now for 7 years! The "Festival of Trees" is going on because Mrs. McKnight thought that it would be fun for the Noble Horizon's community to have a Christmas celebration. She also thought it would be fun to work together for Christmas with people from the bigger community of Salisbury.

The trees are on display from just before Thanksgiving through the first week of December and it is recommended that everyone head on over to Noble Horizons to catch this wonderful event!
