Read-Aloud Day at SCS

Community members came to Salisbury Central School on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 to share their love for reading with our students. Each year the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce coordinates this reading event. We want We would like to thank our loyal community readers and the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce for their continued support of this program. Below are some photos of this years' readers.
Community readers meet in the media center and preview the books they will read to SCS students.

Lori Tompkins enjoyed reading Yes, We Can by Sam McBratney to Ms. Klein's kindergarten class. This story is about a character named Little Roo. Little Roo and his friends usually have a great time playing together, but not today. They are too busy making fun of each other. When everyone is left in bad moods, Little Roo's wise mother comes up with an idea that might just help the threesome make amends.

Erin Selby visited Mrs. McClave's students and captured the students' attention with the book, Yes We Can.
