How do I know if my child can be screened?

Dates for Pre-K Screening

This year, the Salisbury Central Preschool Screening team is thrilled to offer each child who comes in for preschool screening a fantastic book for his/her home library. This is just one way to promote early literacy and keep our youngest students reading!

Screenings for the 2006-2007 school year will be held on the following dates (the 1st Friday of each month):

September 7
October 5
November 2
December 14
January 4
February 1
March 7
April 4
May 2
June 6

Please know that children can be booked for any month after they turn 3.

Do you have a child who is 3 or 4 years of age?

If you answered yes to these questions, we hope to see you at one of our monthly preschool screenings! This is a terrific way to learn more about your child’s growth in a number of developmental areas. Screenings are held on the first Friday of every month. Check the list above for specific dates.

“Regional School District One provides a high quality early childhood program that recognizes the individual learning style and developmental rate of each child. The program promotes the language, cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and speech needs of children ages 3 to 5 years old.”

“The Region One Preschool Program is an exciting experience for children with or without special needs. The program is provided in an appropriate early childhood setting within the local public school.” Programs are located at North Canaan Elementary, Salisbury Central School, Sharon Center School, and Kent Center School.
