FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Change in Bus Policy
Did you know that starting April 21 Salisbury Central School began piloting a change in bus policy which allows your child to travel on a different bus if they wish to go home with another student? Information and guidelines about this change went home in last Friday's folders.

Our first week with this change has gotten off to a good start. Thank you to the SCS community for your patience and understanding as we work out the details of our new procedure. We are finding that the most important part of this change is communication between home and school. You can help by being sure that any changes in dismissal for your student are to the office in writing early in the day.

As this is a work in progress, any comments or suggestions you may have would be welcomed! You can reach me at 435-9871 x101 or cbutwill@mail.salisburycentral.org.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to George Day-Reiss (7th grade) who placed in the top 10 in the state round of the Geography Bee! The competition was held at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain on April 4.

Congratulations to Stephanie Izzi who placed first in the U12 speed skating competition in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This win makes her the fastest skater under 12 in the United States!

This year's team included 8th graders Hawk Blumert, Allyson Good, Katherine Rich and Michael Tabor; 7th graders Monica Chin, Ryan Cunningham, George Day-Reiss, Becket Harney, Elise LaFosse, Peter Moon and Jeffrey Nasiatka; and 6th graders Nathaniel Kremer and Sam Weisman.
