The Denver Zoo
This has extensive lists of animals in each vertebrate group. Most do not have photos available at this time but this site is still worth visiting.

National Wildlife Federation - eNature Fact Sheets
Type in your animal and click on go. When your animal comes up click on its name. You may also find your animal by clicking on the online field guides. There are many sea animals located on this site.
